The historical town Knaresborough boasts spectacular views across the gorge to the Railway Viaduct (built in 1851) which is 103 metres long with four arches 27 metres high.

Mother Shiptons cave and petrifying well is situated in the gorge where you can also punt on the river, or just relax and take in the views at one of the splendid riverside cafes and restaurants.

The ruins of Knaresborough Castle and the Museum can be seen high on the hill.

Wondering around historic Knaresborough, you will find a market every Wednesday and also a Farmers Market every 4th Sunday, and there's so much more to do.
